The Legend of Zelda (??????, Zeruda no Densetsu?) is a high fantasy action-adventure video game series created by game designer Shigeru Miyamoto and developed and published by Nintendo. An animated series based on the games aired in 1989, and a manga adaptation officially endorsed and commissioned by Nintendo has been produced in Japan since 1997.
