I hope not! Unfortunately, I do know a lot of people that feel this way, but I don’t and I don’t think that opinion is held by the majority of us. Americans tend to be very nationalistic. However, if we were all also smart we would realize that pride in ones own country doesn’t also require that we hate everyone else.

Not me. I’ve traveled throughout South America and thought it was a great place and I really want to travel to all types of places. No one I really know seems to think this way either.
But of course, I can’t account for everybody. I don’t think everyone in the US really thinks that, but a lot of us don’t know a lot about other countries. Heck a lot of us don’t know a lot about our own country.

LOL that’s pretty funny. I don’t think we classify Africa as non-existent. I’d say more like parts…Egypt would be pyramid-tourist land. Morocco would be where Bogie had his bar. South Africa is where Krugerrand comes from (and the bad guy from Lethal Weapon 2) And the middle of the continent is full of jungle, or war torn crazy areas.
Australia is more like Mad Max with Tina Turner running Bartertown with lots of Fosters Beer.
