To be honest, I think the saxophone solo would work better on the euphonium.

You could give it to the english horn but that’s not very unique or colourful:P Normally I’d object too (bad saxophonist experience) but thankfully the sax is played VERY differently in the orchestra than in jazz or even a symphonic band.
